‘The First Bloom’, Sculpture (2025)
Part of GIRLS exhibition, at MoMu Museum
The First Bloom symbolises a mother being pregnant. The pregnant belly becomes a metaphor for people’s potential for transformation, creativity and growth, even in our darkest moments. The sculpture invites viewers to reflect on their own experiences of loss, stillness and renewal. It is about the first bloom of spring after a long winter. A girl is born.
